Jessica Hope - Founder & Yoga Teacher
My love of yoga started after a double cervical fusion in 2012. After trying just about everything, I was lucky to find pain relief through hot yoga... after several years of practicing, I knew I needed to share this amazing gift with as many people as I could.
After getting certified, I taught for a bit but wanted to find a way to include those who may not be comfortable in a studio setting... so I started teaching yoga in local MKE businesses in 2016. I learned some valuable lessons along the way and eventually found myself here, being pushed to lead a movement and thus MKE Yoga Social was born!
MKE Yoga Social is near and dear to my heart. It allows me to share yoga and activate the community in a completely different facet. Reaching individuals that may be intimidated to go to a studio but are much more likely to say yes to yoga and fun with friends!
Here's where the word 'social' comes in. I love yoga but truth be told, socializing is really my favorite thing to do! These events give us the opportunity to meet like-minded people we might not otherwise meet. Mingle, get to know people and strengthen the local community. That's really where it's at.
Hope to see you soon! - Jes

Marylisa is an intuitive massage therapist who has been running her own massage business, Manipura Healing Therapies for over 17 years! Practicing yoga for over a decade, Marylisa initially found this healing practice looking for a way to incorporate aftercare for her clients. She fell in love with the dual benefits of massage and yoga as therapy.
Marylisa received her 200 RYT through @yamayogamke . She specializes in massage, yoga and is a certified birth doula. In her spare time you can find Marylisa hanging out with family and friends most likely enjoying nature.
Alex Druzny - Smooth Flow Yoga Teacher & Ayurveda Health Counselor
While pregnant with her second son and practicing yoga, Alex fell in love with the practice and the way it made her feel physically and mentally. After each session, she noticed less anxiety, reduced stress, as well as improved concentration and a deeper connection to both body and mind.
Along with her son's birth, a new idea was born - the idea of becoming a yoga teacher. Three weeks after giving birth, she decided to follow her heart and signed up for teacher training.
As an instructor, Alex always makes sure her students realize that Yoga is not about how you look or how flexible you are, but about self-acceptance, self-improvement and bringing your body, mind and spirit into a healthy balance.
Alex is a graduate of Kanyakumari 200-hour certified yoga teacher training where she also spent a year passionately studying Ayurveda (world's oldest holistic healing systems). She is an Ayurvedic Health Counselor certified by the National Ayurvedic Medical Association.
This beautiful momma has so many amazing things going on... from her storefront Botanica Galactica to her vintage line and so much more! Mariyam will co-lead the Sunday morning yoga sessions at Zocalo Food Park.
A bit more about Mariyam in her own words...
For as long as I can recall, movement has been my magic balm. Whether in a dance class or on a yoga mat, there's nothing that I find more powerful, transformative and healing. It is where my soul resides. Yoga is where I find my peace, where I find my space. My desire to teach is rooted in my desire to be able to share this this peace with others. I love many styes of yoga, however, the flow and rhythm of vinyasa; its peaks and valleys, and the space it offers to intertwine my passions for music and movement, is why this particular style has captured my heart.
As a teacher, I endeavor to share this passion wholeheartedly. Expect a class that gently leads you to your edge with an alchemy of precise physical guidance, intuitive sequencing, with space to breathe, grow and find your rhythm.
Robyn, the founder of Healium Hot Yoga is a leader in our local Milwaukee yoga community. She was one of my very first hot yoga teachers and has become a mentor along my path of business ownership. It is truly an honor to have her teach for MKE Yoga Social.
About Robyn in her own words:
I've been teaching over 10 years and in the fitness Industry for almost 20. I love many forms of exercise and movement but I specifically love how accessible yoga can be for many people of many different ages and fitness levels. I love the exercise of practicing breath work with movement (any movement!) creating a moving meditation. It’s how I stay centered and focused and reduce stress.
I fell in love with hot yoga 15 years ago, when I lived in chicago and when I moved to Milwaukee it wasn’t here yet so wanted to bring it to Milwaukee! It took me some time to make that happen and fortunately I got to work with one of the first studios in Milwaukee to gain experience and insight on running a studio. (Thanks Bronek Gacki!).
Healium Hot Yoga started as a tiny spot in Bay View and as our community has grown, so has our space! It makes my heart so happy to see people connect and support each other inside and outside if the studio. So inspiring!
Kyle Bangall - Yoga Teacher
Kyle began practicing hot yoga in 2013. At the time he was a business major, considering a career in law. When he found yoga he said he "just always knew" he would become a yoga teacher. In 2015 Kyle moved to an ashram in Florida and eventually his journey led him to the yoga motherland, India.
Kyle is 500 hr RYT certified. Not only does Kyle teach yoga but he has spent over 1400 hours training yoga teachers. Kyle has facilitated yoga teacher training both nationally and internationally... with a high focus on asana (posture) and yogic philosophy.
Hi! I’m Anna Argeropoulos. But you can call me Anna A. It’s hard to believe, but I’ve been told my last name is difficult to pronounce. I’m a native to Detroit, but consider myself a Milwaukee local these days.
I began my yoga practice in my living room when I was just 8 years old! My mom and I had checked out a book on yoga from the library. A lot has happened since then. Over the years I practiced many yoga styles - from Bikram to Kundalini to Ashtanga and everything in between. I started my journey as a teacher at Laughing Lotus Yoga Center in NYC, received a 500-hour YTT certification at Yogaview Chicago, and prenatal training at the Global Yoga Center in Chicago.
My mission is to… bring people together through yoga, whether it’s by training and mentoring teachers, or welcoming people from all walks of life to practice together, and create community.
Amber Price - Yoga Teacher

In 2015, Amber completed her 200 hour RYT certification under Katie Brauer in Chicago. She currently teaches Baptiste, Vinyasa and Yin yoga.
Amber also has a deep passion for foreign language. Not only is she a full-time Spanish teacher but also speaks French, Czech and Korean.
Brooke Billingsley - Yoga Teacher
Brooke was introduced to yoga at a young age but it wasn't until being fully immersed while visiting California in 2014 that she fell in love with it.
Once she found consistency in her practice she noticed a great change in her outlook on life. Yoga brought her mental clarity and the ability to connect with others on a more authentic level. She returned home and dove deeper into the spiritual practice. It was life changing for Brooke. Negative habits were broken and she found light in the world and in herself. Knowing the benefits yoga had brought her she craved sharing this healing practice with others. Brooke completed teacher training in 2015 and promptly began sharing this gift.
Brooke's strengths are sequencing a creative class for all levels and helping her students get in touch with not only their bodies but their inner selves. Her goal is to bring a well rounded yoga class not only strengthening the body and mind but allowing her students to leave feeling lighter and more positive.
Savannah Zarling - Yoga Teacher
Savannah found yoga at 16 and fell in love with the mental and physical discipline the practice required. She knew she wanted to share that gift with others so she studied and began teaching hot yoga in 2017. In February of 2019 Savannah went on to complete her 200 vinyasa certification with reknowned yogis, @erinkellyart and @casa_colibri in Costa Rica. She loves to teach playful yet challenging classes that will make you earn your savasana!
When Savannah is not doing yoga, you can find her at the gym, attending local events, reading, or snuggling her two kitties. She earned her Bachelors of Psychology in December of 2018 from Alverno college with plans to go back for her Ph.d. Savannah plans to use yoga throughout her career as a therapuetic tool to serve a variety of populations.
